When you undertake a fire risk assessment there are six steps that should be taken.

1. Identify potential fire hazards
2. Descide who could be in danger
3. Evaluate the risks and adequacy of any current controls in place.
4. Record significant findings.
5. Prepare action plans to carry out any improvements.
6. Keep the assessment under review.
